In this project, we combined two apartments in a classic, pre-war building in the heart of SoHo. Our clients lived overseas so we managed the day-to-day construction project on the ground for them. While designing the space, we wanted to maintain the authenticity of the loft-like industrial feel with the wood beams and exposed brick, but juxtapose it with modern elements. We painted the brick, re-stained the beams, brought in new floors, and added a modern Bulthaup kitchen. It was important for our clients to have pops of color (blue being a favorite), so we incorporated it throughout the apartment as evident in the fabulous kitchen lighting and oversized sectional.
