Our client bought this two-story penthouse with floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop terrace, and stunning views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline. Although this was a brand new building at the time of the purchase, we decided to gut the apartment including creating a whole new metal, curved staircase, and underwent a two-year renovation. We chose a variety of unique marbles showcased throughout the apartment and mixed them with warm metals and wood finishes. We even created a speakeasy shrouded behind navy alpaca curtains. Our client wanted pops of color and we mixed mid-century and modern and designed many of the bespoke furniture. We were lucky to work with an incredible art collection and helped choose many of the pieces.
